The Pavement Condition Management Group (PCMG) is the steering group for the PCIS support contract with the DfT. The group replaces the original UKPMS and SCANNER steering groups and was set up to drive the project forward, ensuring that the aims of the contract are achieved. The PCMG advises the UK Roads Board on what needs to be delivered and when, to enable local authorities to deliver on asset management. The group meet three or four times per year, with TRL providing administrative and technical secretariat support. It is chaired by Chris Capps and is made up of experienced engineers from a range of local authorities.
