The next Roads Board Advisory Group meeting has been set. the Attending Members will meet on 22nd October in Derby. Minutes and presentations from previous meetings are available in the PCIS library.

Technical Notes TN41, TN42 and TN43 for 2010/11 have been published. They provide guidance for UKPMS developers to produce reports for Welsh, Northern Irish and Scottish Performance Indicators.

Ruleset RP10.01 has been published to provide the UKPMS Annual Health Check 2010 documents. The RP10.01 database and RP10.01 Specification document has been released.

Technical Note 47 has been published to provide guidance to UKPMS developers in producing the Footway Network Survey (FNS) Network Indicator Report.

Technical Note 46, Parts 1 and 2, along with Advice Note 9, Parts 1 and 2, have been published to provide guidance to UKPMS developers to allow them to produce various reports for 2010/11 for financial information to support asset management as requested by the Highways Asset Management Financial Information Group (HAMFIG).

A new version of UKPMS User Manual Volume 2, Chapter 9, has been issued. It has an amended chapter structure and describes describes the UKPMS Footway Network Survey.

Part 1 of the final version of Technical Note 46 has been issued. This document gives the HAMFIG information requirements for carriageways. Part 2 of the Technical Note will give the requirements for footways and cycle tracks.

Rule Set Changes from RP8.01 to RP9.01 - Summary for UKPMS Users has been published. RP9.01 is specified for the 2009/10 PI reports and will support the loading of 2010/11 SCANNER survey data. These changes have no impact on the Performance Indicator calculations.

The Roads Board Advisory Group met in Birmingham today. Topics under discussion included Funding in a Tight Climate (Matthew Lugg), Updating Well-maintained Highways (Lila Tachtsi), Deterioration Modelling: Recent Research (Matthew Byrne), and Traffic Speed Deflectometer (Les Hawker).

The Pavement Condition Management Group met today at the Department for Transport in London to discuss the progress of the PCIS Supoprt Contract.

Kevin Fuller is stepping down from Chairing the Footways and Cycle tracks Management Group, and hence his membership of the Pavement Condition Management Group and the Roads Board Advisory Group. Steve Spender, of Hampshire County Council, will be taking his place.
