An updated version of Technical Note 3 (HMDIF File Structures and Content) has been released incorporating the new Footway Network Survey (developed by the Footways and Cycle tracks Management Group).

A Provisional Technical Note 46 (TN46) has been released. This provides guidance for UKPMS Developers to allow them to produce various reports for 2009/10 for financial information to support asset management as requested by the Highways Asset Management Financial Information Group (HAMFIG). A corresponding Commentary document has also been released comprising additional background explanation for the changes introduced.

The package for the 2009 Annual Health Check of accredited UKPMS systems is now available for UKPMS developers. The Health Check is intended to provide ongoing routine assurance that UKPMS systems continue to meet UKPMS requirements including the current rule set and national reporting.
The Annual Health Check is only carried out on fully accredited UKPMS systems and supplements rather than replaces the UKPMS Comparability Tests. Passing the Comparability Tests continues to be a requirement for any new systems that wish to become UKPMS Accredited.
